General cargo / multipurpose dock

At general-purpose/multipurpose terminals, port mobile cranes can efficiently handle a variety of cargo such as bagged grain, steel coils, and containers due to their flexibility and rapid tool changeover, and use creep-speed control and precision slewing to safely hoist heavy hatch covers, significantly shortening setup time.

During operations, port cranes often coordinate with ship’s gear, with the former responsible for heavy cargo in the main hold and the latter handling light cargo at the edges, maximizing hold utilization. At the same time, the crane can directly interface with flatbed trucks for “direct ship-to-truck transfer,” reducing storage pressure and cargo damage risks, especially suitable for steel and out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo, effectively addressing the challenges of tight schedules and diverse cargo types.
